The wide-ranging Whitney Museum of American Art is cool

Norfolk Botanical Garden was a very nice surprise

There are many specialty gardens such as for camellias (500  varieties), hydrangeas (200 ), rhododendrons (175 ) and flowering trees (336); a spring visit would have been ideal
